Our LKP team has so much to look forward to this holiday season. It’s the time of year when the air gets cooler and crisp, glowing lights are abundant, and most of all, family and friends are to be celebrated and cherished. Traditions are practiced and memories are born during these few months. In honor of this thought, LKP has been eagerly awaiting this moment to share our very own holiday traditions.
In Lisa’s words, this season brings much excitement —
“Every Christmas eve we watch It's a Wonderful Life as a family. Even though we can narrate the movie at this point it is a great reminder of what is truly important in life! One of the best classics.
For those of us that don't celebrate Christmas we enjoy the yearly ritual of going to the movies and then out to Chinese Food — basically the only restaurants open on Christmas Day.
We also enjoy partaking in See's Candies. Everyone gets a box and takes a bite of their favorites, then tosses the ones they’re not crazy about — very decadent!”
In Kristen’s words, traditions seems to spark Christmas magic —
“We start the holiday off by watching The Santa Clause.
Every year I’m in charge of selecting our family matching Christmas jammies which we open and wear on Christmas Eve.
Some other holiday traditions include singing "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas" with my mom and sister as we decorate the tree.
We recently added a family white elephant game, which has become one of my new favorites.”
In Justin’s words, Christmas time ignites nostalgia of years past —
“Every year we watch Christmas movies like It's a Wonderful Life and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.
We enjoy decorating the tree and going to see the zoo lights!
On Christmas Eve we attend midnight mass and open one gift. And we always host Christmas dinner!”
How We Celebrate Together!
LKP shares a united tradition we get excited for each year and that’s our Team Holiday Celebration, which includes High Tea at the Peninsula Hotel. With the radiant and festive atmosphere, we enjoy gathering in their living room that is so wonderfully decorated for the season by a warm fire. There we indulge in yummy plates and great company—not to mention some fun gifts that get exchanged!
