- A home in Laguna Beach, CA features a rather interesting "amenity" - a fire suppression system with six cannons connected to city water lines. The system senses the temperature of the land and if there is a fire, water will automatically spray from the cannons and alert the fire department.
- On March 8th, the price of nickel soared above $100,000 per metric ton, and a mere 10 days later - it was trading around $37,000, a 63% plunge.
- Real inflation-adjusted average hourly earnings for the month fell 0.8%, contributing to a 2.6% decline from the year before, according to the BLS. Wages are up 5.1% over the past year, which is trailing the pace of inflation which is closer to 8%.

- U.S. rent inflation reached yet another record in January, fueled by red-hot markets such as Miami. Single-family rental prices jumped 12.6% from a year earlier. All major metropolitan areas saw increases. BUT...let's not forget that in 2020 and 2021 there were some big lease discounts - especially on apartments in large buildings/cities - and much of this surge could be recovery pricing.
- 30% of U.S. office buildings - worth over $1 trillion - are at risk of becoming obsolete due to a hybrid-work era, according to an independent consultant and former head of real estate research at Goldman Sachs. Some companies are scaling back their space or gravitating to newly developed/recently overhauled offices that are more environmentally friendly, with plenty of fresh air and natural light, fitness rooms and food courts.
- Crude Oil hit a high of $129.17 in early March and recently was down 20% from that figure.
- Lumber hit a high of $1,464 on March 3rd and in recent weeks, was down around 24.5% off its high.
- COPPER was down in recent weeks, about 8.5% from a high set on March 4th.
